How long? Sample week: 10 minutes most days · Sat optional 20 minutes · you can stop earlier. Done is done.
Calm voice for this walk
Relaxed. Don’t overthink. This is not a fitness test and not a problem to solve.
When you are working, work. When you are walking, walk — no thinking required. Leave the email, the plan, the worry at the door. Just enjoy the walk.
Try different places when you can: a quiet street, a park loop, a tree-lined block, an indoor hallway if weather wins. New scenery helps the mind soften.
Steps
Step outside (or walk hallways / a loop indoors if weather wins).
Start easy for 1–2 minutes. No need to rush. Soft shoulders.
Keep a pace where you can still talk. Breathe steady. Look around — notice light, trees, sky, or simply the path.
If your mind drifts back to work, gently let it go. Walking time = no thinking time. Enjoy.
At 10 minutes (or 20 on an optional day), turn toward home or finish your loop.
Drink water if you want. That is the whole session — celebrate the checkmark.

Let’s do it. Shoes on. Out the door.

You’re not racing anyone. You’re giving yourself a calm break.

Script (original lines kept · bridging words added for ~10 minutes)
The Yellow Marble Ball — Walking Meditation. This recording is about ten minutes, the same length as your easy walk. SAMPLE planning support from Two Ways. Not medical advice.
Find a comfortable start. Shoes on. Out the door, or along a hallway if weather wins. When you are ready, begin.
Begin walking. Let your steps be slow and natural. Don’t rush. Just walk.
Feel your feet on the path. Heel, then the middle of the foot, then the toes. Soft shoulders. Soft hands. Easy jaw. You do not need to solve anything right now. When you walk, you walk. Leave the email, the plan, and the worry for later.
Take three easy breaths as you keep moving. Breathe in… and out. Breathe in… and out. Breathe in… and out. Stay with the path in front of you.
Now, bring your attention to the space above your head. Imagine a small marble ball floating there. It is bright yellow — like a soft little light.
You do not have to see it with your eyes. Simply imagine it there, calm and steady, above you. Bright yellow. Light. Quiet.
Let it stay there for a moment. Just walking. Just the ball.
Keep an easy pace — a pace where you could still talk in full sentences. If a work thought appears, notice it, then return to your steps and to the yellow ball. Walking time is walking time.
Look around when you can. Light. Trees. Sky. Buildings. Or simply the next few steps. New scenery often helps the mind soften. Wherever you are is enough.
Now, slowly, the ball begins to move. It drifts down… and gently touches the top of your head.
Feel it there. Keep walking.
Stay with that soft contact for a while. Soft jaw. Soft hands. Soft steps. The ball rests on the crown of your head while you keep moving. Nothing else to fix in this minute.
The ball rolls slowly across your scalp… from one side… to the other. Over the crown of your head.
Unhurried. Smooth. Matching the calm of your walk. From one side… across… to the other.
It reaches the corner of your ear… on one side. Then it continues… across… to the other ear.
Keep walking. Let the ball move at its own pace.
If your shoulders have crept up, let them drop. Soften your face. Soften your hands. Return to easy steps and to the yellow ball.
Now the ball travels to the front of your head. It glides slowly across your forehead… then rises up the center… and sinks back down.
Up again… to the very top of your skull. It pauses there… then descends slowly… into the back of your head.
Take your time with this. There is no race. Soft breath in… soft breath out… while the ball moves. You are only walking and noticing.
The ball returns to the center of your head. Imagine it resting on a small slate… and slowly expanding… until it fills all the empty space inside your skull.
Hold that feeling… for a few seconds. Keep walking.
Stay with the expanded ball a little longer. Warm yellow fullness. Not pressure. Soft light filling the space behind your forehead, behind your eyes, while your feet keep their easy rhythm.
If your mind lists tasks again, that is okay. Label it once — thinking — then return to the ball and to the next step. Balance means work has its time, and this walk has its time.
Keep holding the expanded feeling as you walk. Soft steps. Easy breath. Yellow light filling the space. You can enjoy this. Showing up for ten minutes counts.
Now the ball contracts again… slowly… gently… until it becomes the small marble ball once more.
Still yellow. Still calm. Still with you as you walk. Smaller now… clear… simple.
The ball travels slowly down… down… down through your body… until it reaches your throat. It stays there… for a minute.
Feel it resting in your throat. Keep walking.
This is the longer hold. Soft shoulders. Easy face. The yellow marble at your throat, and your steps continuing. You can still talk at this pace. No fitness test. No performance. Just the walk and the ball.
Stay with it. Breathing. Walking. Yellow light at the throat. If thoughts arrive, notice them and return here. Heel… midfoot… toes… soft breath…
Keep going through this minute. Soft pace. The ball remains. You remain walking. There is nowhere else you need to be for these moments.
A little longer still. The ball at your throat. The path under your feet. Easy rhythm. This is recovery for the mind as much as motion for the body.
Continue. Soft shoulders. Soft face. Yellow marble. Steps. Breath. Still here.
One more stretch of quiet walking with the ball at your throat. Soft. Steady. No rush. You are allowed to take this whole minute.
Feel it resting in your throat. Keep walking.
Stay with the quiet a little longer before the ball disappears. Soft steps. Soft breath. Easy shoulders. You have given yourself this full walk — that already matters.
Notice the air on your face, the sound around you, and the simple rhythm of walking. Balance is not only hard work. It is also this: moving without overthinking.
And then… the ball disappears.
Not with a bang. It simply fades. Gone. Quiet where it was.
Now, the question of the exercise: where did the ball go?
You do not need an answer out loud. Just notice what comes — a feeling, an image, a blank, or a small smile. All of that is fine. There is no wrong answer here.
Take one more slow breath… and let yourself rest in that stillness… as you keep walking.
Keep this easy pace until your ten minutes are complete. When you are ready, turn toward home or finish your loop. Drink water if you want. Done is done. Celebrate the checkmark. Work can wait until you choose it again.
This walking meditation is complete. SAMPLE planning support from Two Ways — not medical advice. Enjoy a little more balance for the rest of your day.
